In February 2015 we decided, after nearly 30 years in the same house, that it was time for us to move to a smaller property. Never did we consider a new build, too many hidden expenses, schedule delays and broken promises, we had been led to believe from others. No, for us it was to be an existing property, but that didn't stop us looking at all the show homes when we visited Riverhead.
Our first encounter with Generation Homes was with Peter who welcomed us to browse at our leisure, no questions, no hard sell, we asked the questions and received answers that really impressed us. We left with no pressure to leave our details or explain our intentions.
We returned the following week and met Suanne and received exactly the same answers to the same questions, good sign, and again absolutely no pressure to do more than look and question.
The main points that impressed us regarding a new build with Generation Homes was the guaranteed fixed price and completion schedule.
We chose our plot and started the process, we changed our minds on the plot a week later but this was also not an issue for them.
Planning our new home was an exciting time and Generation Homes, and Suanne, were amazingly patient with us as we tweaked the design to be absolutely what we wanted.
Once council approval was received Brent, the project manager, gave us a building schedule which, without exception was accurate right down to our moving date, and our build was right through winter!
We were totally in love with our new home, and home it was right from the beginning, when the framing was up, it just got better and better as each line of the schedule was completed.
We cannot recommend Generation Homes strongly enough, they were true to their initial promises in every single respect. We personally felt relaxed, comfortable and happy with our new house long before we ever moved in, that to us is the greatest accolade we can pay to Generation Homes as well as our heartfelt thanks for a job exceedingly well done.
